Matt Jones Drops The Ball (off the field too)
Steve Jones, Matt Jones' father, released a statement Thursday night stating the cocaine did not, in fact, belong to his son.
“We want to make it clear that Matt was not in possession of any drugs, but that there were drugs in the vehicle and were located in the closest proximity to Matt," Jones added. "He does not claim any responsibility for the drugs.”
Yet this directly contradicts(and adds a nice twist) to the police report of the incidence. The officers who approached the 4runner state they "saw" Matt Jones cutting a white powdery substance with a credit card (*scratches head thinking about how one cuts coke without possessing it). If these reports are in fact false, Jones could walk due to an illegal search of the vehicle he was in. Perhaps he cuts coke strictly as a nervous habit for other drugs he is strung out on.
